We fish our 31′ Cape Horn, “Turn’er Loose” out of Ocean City NJ. Our trips are long. We run 60 miles to the 30 Fathom Line for Sharks in May and June; and 80 miles to the Canyons in July, August and September for Tuna, Marlin and Wahoo.

A few years back a friend of mine suggested bean bags for the long hauls out and back. So I did some homework and came across Ocean Tamer’s website. I liked what I saw, so I ordered two armchair style bean bag chairs with the boat’s name monogramed on them. They became an instant hit with my crew the very first time I brought them along.

These bean bags have become a staple on our offshore trips. The crew is always sure to have them aboard, and I often see some friendly rivalry between them to see who gets to lounge on the Ocean Tamer’s first. They really are very comfortable and we have used them in some very rough conditions. They have held up well when exposed to salt, sun, and hard use by the crew. And they store easily up forward or on the T Top when not being used.
